Description

As a member of the Water Distribution Team, the Distribution & Collection Operator is responsible for providing safe drinking water to the citizens of Lloydminster, by following strict operating procedures, ensuring all Permit to Operate guidelines are met.  Specific duties include:

Inspections of valves for water main lines and hydrants.
Inspections, repairs, and installs of water meters for commercial and residential customers.
Inspections, repairs, and installs of water meter radio equipment.
Inspections of the Raw Water transmission line and equipment.
Locating and repairs of curb stops.
Fire hydrant maintenance and repairs.
Assist with Hydro excavating for Water distribution repairs.
Assist with disinfecting and flushing of water mains.
Sampling and submitting Bacteriological samples.
Documentation of all water maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Participate in the City of Lloydminsters Safety Management System.
Position may involve on-call, shift work and the assignment of alternate relevant duties on occasion.
