DUTIES:
- handling hand/power tools
- building of cabinetry/millwork
- installation of cabinetry/millwork
- read drawings/blueprint designs
- fabricate wood doors & installation
- fabricate & install base boards, crown moldings wood flooring, ceilings, arches pergolas decking etc.
- painting abilities
- wood doors, flooring, cabinets, quality checks, site safety & clean-up.
MUST HAVE:
- Hands-on experience in construction, skilled trades
- Positive & upbeat attitude
- Attention to safety
- Work well in team environment and/or on your own
- Read & interpret blueprints, drawings & sketches to determine specifications & calculate requirements to meet the needs of clients.
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floor systems, & roof systems.
- Maintains & monitors work area, equipment & working environments regularly to maintain a safe & hazard free workplace.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
-Minimum of 4 yrs experience in general carpentry, construction or related industry as qualified carpenter required
- Good working knowledge & understanding of building maintenance, the carpentry trade in general carpentry, construction or related industry trades including rough carpentry, finished carpentry. Sound knowledge of general construction codes & regulations
- Ability to work alone in a self-managing role or in a team environment
knowledge in operating equipments such as Zoom Boom, Back Hoe, Skid Steer, Genie Lift, etc. considered an asset
Transportation/Travel Information
- Valid driver's licence
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Carpenter Trade Certification
- Carpenter Red Seal Endorsement
