Christopher Warriner o/a West Cowan Apiaries located at SE 14-56-8 W3 Big River, Saskatchewan S0J 0E0 is looking to hire 4 Apiary Technicians/Workers who can perform the following duties: wrapping and unwrapping hives; spring and fall maintenance; feeding hives; creating nucs; supering hives; pulling honey supers (80+ lbs) and carrying supers to truck deck; extracting honey; moving bees (some evenings and weekends if need be); maintain bee yards; and any other duties relating to apiary work.
Requirements: No formal education required but with at least grade 12 education an asset; 1-2 full seasons of apiary experience required; with valid driver's licence and own vehicle to get back and forth to work; experience driving standard truck an asset; in good physical condition; and able to work in a team environment.
Employment details: Seasonal and full-time; employment date April 3-October 24, 2019; wage $12.30-$14.95 per hour depending on experience at minimum 40 hours of work per week; training is provided on ongoing basis; most tasks are performed outdoors in all kinds of weather; work is repetitive and physically demanding.
