Are you a detail-oriented individual and thrive in a manufacturing environment? Were looking for an experienced Coating Technician for an established aerospace company in Winnipeg. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating spray guns and apply coatings to parts and equipment. You will also be preparing and mixing solutions according to formulas and specifications. If you feel like youre a fit for this position, then we would like to hear from you!
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
* Operating blasting equipment to clean and prepare the surfaces of materials
* Masking parts with fixtures, rubber, tape or metal masks prior to applying coatings
* Inspecting surfaces visually for defects, ensuring compliance with specifications using micrometers, profilometers, or related devices prior to and after application
* Liaising with engineering and other departments as required to troubleshoot, research and solve technical problems
* Other duties as necessary related to the position
MUST HAVES:
* 1-3 years of experience in thermal spray metalizing, HP/HVOF, and plasma flame (Fanuc controls, S-800 robot, etc.)
* Strong English communication skills (verbal and written); ability to communicate technical information to various levels of the organization
* Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints
* Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
