Duties and responsibilities:
Camp Easter Seal provides a fun and barrier-free camping experience to children and adults ages 6 to 80+ who experience complex physical, medical and intellectual needs.  Each year nearly 800 campers benefit from a week-long Camp Easter Seal experience, including horseback riding, swimming, boating, sports, wagon rides and the opportunity to form friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.  Camp employs more than 60 seasonal staff, including full-time on-site medical professionals.  

The Camp Easter Seal Manager is responsible to ensure a safe and enriching recreational experience for all campers, in accordance with the overall philosophy and objectives of SaskAbilities.  This includes the overall operations and management of camp activities, including finances, facilities, human resources, camper programming, administration and assisting with public relations and fundraising.

The Camp Manager resides at Camp Easter Seal (Manitou Beach) during the camping season from May to August.  The Camp Manager is based out of the Saskatoon Branch office from September to April.

Candidates will possess a relavent undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.  CPR First Aid, Safe Food Handling Certificate, and Pool Operators certificate or a willingness to complete.  Candidates will have previous experience in a management role, with direct supervisory responsibilities.  They will also have previous experience developing and managing budgets and other financial management processes, managing complex projects and experience working with people of varying ages, abilities and medical needs.  Candidates will have knowledge and understanding of the administrative and operational aspects of running a residential camp, possess strong leadership quality and interpersonal skills, have excellent communication and problem solving skills.
