Description

Are you looking for a Northern Experience? Do you love the outdoors? Look no further than beautiful Patuanak (English River First Nation). We are a small close knit community situated on the beautiful Churchill River where the northern pristine forest emerges.
Patuanak offers a wide variety of outside adventures including fishing, canoeing, sledding, quad riding, boating, camping etc.
The community can be reached on an all-weather road (Highway 918). Patuanak has most of the amenities found in small town sites such as a Northern store, a gas bar, a post office, a clinic, an RCMP detachment, an arena (artificial ice), and a radio station. We offer quality subsidized housing and access to high speed internet.
Our present teacher will be going on maternity leave therefore, we are seeking for an innovative and qualified Grade 9 teacher to join the school team at St. Louis school (www.englishriverschool.ca) to commence February 12th. You will be a hardworking and enthusiastic teaching professional with excellent subject knowledge in all areas and a sound understanding of the Saskatchewan Curriculum. There are opportunities to create student/teacher relationships that will improve the ethos of the school. New teachers are welcome! This is a great school to gain experience!
The position will involve teaching students in Grade 9 and also assisting in the encouragement of extra-curricular activities. The applicant will be a motivated individual with a keen interest in inspiring students to love learning. We provide a competitive salary and subsidized (furnished) housing.
A successful applicant must have a B.Ed. A recent Criminal Record Check (with vulnerable sector) is also required.
