We are looking for an experienced Nanny who is able to come to our home and provide care for our new born and 2 year old. This position will also include light housekeeping, meal preparation. This candidate must have high energy, self motivated and must have a passion for children.
Must have own transportation.
Job Type / Category
4 days a week 30 hours per week.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience being a Nanny for a new born is required
ECE is a bonus
First Aid
CPR
Criminal record
A vulnerable sector check will be completed
Experience:
child care: 3 years (Required)
Competitive Wages depending on experience and qualifications
Children'S Ages
- Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years)
- Infant (3 months - 11 months)
Transportation/Travel Information
- Vehicle supplied by employer
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- First Aid Certificate
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
Specific Skills
- Tend to emotional well-being of children
- Supervise and care for children
- Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants
- Read to children
- Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- Care for pets
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
- Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods
