NLSD #113 invites applications for the position of a permanent, full-time
Literacy Consultant
Northern Lights School Division #113 requires a permanent, full time Literacy Consultant to work with school division personnel in the following area: English Language Arts and Community of Learners: Literacy. This position will be based out of Beauval or La Ronge. Position to commence March 18, 2019.
The successful candidate must have:
- a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate
- dedication to reconciliation in Northern Lights School Division
- post-secondary credentials appropriate to the position
- substantial teaching experience with ESL/Indigenous students
- current knowledge of Saskatchewan Core Curriculum
- a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license
- an understanding of Professional Learning Communities and the Response to Intervention Model
- an in depth understanding of balanced literacy and Saskatchewan Reads and a willingness to coach classroom teachers and LNCs
- data literacy
A Masters Degree in Curriculum Studies and the ability to speak Cree or Dene would be an asset. Salary is based on the Provincial Agreement plus 10% consultants allowance. For further information please contact Dawn Kuppenbender, Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction at 306) 425-3302.
