Within the Community School program, Nutrition Coordinators design and deliver the school nutrition education and food services program under the direction of the principal.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary education in nutrition, food services, home economics or related area.
Experience in operating breakfast, lunch and snack programs.
Ability to involve the community in the school nutrition program.
Ability to integrate food experiences with curricula.
Experience with recruiting and working with volunteers.
Experience with community development programs such as community kitchens.
Familiarity with inner-city and cross-cultural neighborhoods.
Experience with record-keeping systems (includes documentation for the Community School program).
Valid driver's license and vehicle required.
