IntraGrain Technologies, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Accounting Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation and benefits.
The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for cash management, financial statement preparation, sales reporting, general ledger maintenance/control and audit activities.
Responsibilities
You are a self motivated, team-orientated individual that thrives in a changing and challenging environment. Contributing on many different projects you will:
Prepare and analyse short-term cash flow requirements.
Assist with quarterly forecasting and sales reporting
Prepare monthly financial statements.
Process payroll and timecards.
Assist in the internal and year-end audits.
Maintain and control the general ledger structure.
Assist in the preparation of the yearly business plan.
Complete Statistics Canada surveys.
Maintain the integrity of accounting principles, internal controls and procedures.
Record account payable & accounts receivable transactions.
Assist with accounts receivable inquiries.
Prepare quarterly reports required for head office.
Prepare bank reconciliations.
Requirements
Accounting Post-Secondary program and/or proven related work experience
Fluent with Excel
Experience with Pivot tables would be considered an asset
Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks (or similar) accounting software
