Casual Labourer  (GL MAN 05)
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada
Corporate Management Branch
Scott, Saskatchewan

Full Time
Monday to Friday
8:00 am to 4:30 pm
January 28, 2019 to May 4, 2019 Anticipated

Employment Type:
Persons hired as a casual worker may not be employed for more than 90 working days in a calendar year.  Staffing through this process will not lead to term or indeterminate employment.

Job Requirements
Drivers License

Duties include
On-site contact for external maintenance/construction contractors contracted to work on projects at the Scott Research Farm site.
Communicating regularly and clearly with management (on site and off site) on a variety of items, such as approvals, client requests, contractor concerns, personal observations and requests for information.
Snow removal using skid steer, snow blower, and shovel and salt spreading.
General labor specific to facility maintenance. For example, but not limited to, replacing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, changing filters, greasing facility related machine components, general housekeeping.
Performing preventative maintenance checks on the bulk fuel tanks, the building systems (heating, electrical etc.) the building interior/exterior fittings and scheduling local contractors to respond to identified small-scale repairs required.
Coordinating routine maintenance schedule on fleet vehicles (oil changes, filters, lubrication, fluid levels)  through local shop.  
Coordinating with contractors to perform regulatory inspections on First Aid kits, fire alarms, fume hoods, Safety Code Inspection Items and any other required inspections related to Facilities.
