The Suspended Access Technician performs a variety of tasks and is primarily responsible for promoting rentals and sales to existing customers including configuring and installing the suspended access solutions. This position requires the individual to draw on a network of customers, suppliers and other vendors to facilitate the best solution for the customer. The Suspended Access Technician is also responsible for designing the configuration and setting up the swing stages at customer sites, re-certifying equipment upon return and managing inventory.
Candidates possessing a mechanical aptitude with a background in working at heights, construction, iron work, and/or mining would be considered ideal.
This Safety Sensitive position is conditional to completing and passing a Drug & Alcohol test.
The Candidate must be willing to travel during the week and be prepared to work overtime. As well, all workers must be able to lift heavy loads and able to work at heights as well as in underground mining locations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum five years swing stage experience either installing, operating, or selling the swing stage components and modules.
2. Trade or safety certificates related to suspended scaffold safety or construction would be beneficial, but not required
3. A sound understanding of safety regulations and standards
4. Any safety-related training and certificates would be beneficial (WHMIS, First Aid, etc.)
5. Valid drivers license
6. Minimum Grade 12, or equivalent
