Position Overview:  
Located in our Central Office in Regina, SK, the successful candidate will join SAMA's Information Services Branch as a Senior Programmer Analyst in this full-time, permanent position.  The Senior Programmer Analyst will provide design, coding, testing, quality assurance and support of applications and data used by SAMA.  

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager of Information Services Applications, the Senior Programmer Analyst's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining the Agency's various computer applications and systems.
- Providing reports and ad hoc data extracts.
- Providing end user support.
- Coaching and mentoring other IS staff as required.
- Providing development, enhancement and maintenance services for the Agency's custom and commercial applications.
- Providing application support and technical assistance for the Agency's various computer application systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- University degree or post-secondary diploma in an IT field;
- 10+ years programming and/or application development experience;
- Proficient in use of software programs (e.g. Azure DevOps, .Net, SQL Server, Crystal Enterprise) in a Microsoft Windows environment;
- Knowledge of various programming languages (e.g. SQL, VB.Net, C#, Java, Python, etc.);
- Industry recognized certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer MCSD)
- Proficient keyboarding/data entry skills;
- Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to work independently or with limited supervision.

A skills assessment/performance test will be used to assess candidate knowledge and experience.
