Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation (the Corporation) is the deposit guarantor for Saskatchewan credit unions, and the primary regulator for credit unions and SaskCentral. We are seeking a confident, forward-thinking professional with effective leadership skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced co-operative environment to join our Risk-Based Supervision team.
Reporting to the Associate Vice-President, Risk-Based Supervision, you will provide leadership to a team of professionals & manage the application of the supervisory framework which proactively identifies, assesses & manages/mitigates risk to depositor funds and the guarantee fund. You will be responsible for managing the execution of on-going monitoring, review and intervention processes, assessment of regulatory approval requests, and effective relationship management with credit union boards of directors and senior management. You will also lead & support the maintenance of components of the risk-based supervisory framework. Flexible hours & some travel required as this business unit works with Saskatchewan credit unions.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in business administration/commerce supplemented with a graduate degree or professional designation and 5 years related experience. Experience in the financial services industry, with exposure to governance and risk management would be an asset. You will have demonstrated success in presenting information & facilitating discussions with key stakeholders. The ability to interpret & apply policy, legislation and regulation are key requirements for this position. Additional core competencies include teamwork, developing others, change leadership, communication, impact and influence, conflict resolution, problem solving and decision making.
