Description

The Specialist, Systems Management is part of a dynamic central team that is responsible for setting direction and management of technology monitoring and alerting solutions for SaskPowers Technology and Security division.  This position acts as the Solution Architect for defining monitoring and alerting solutions, managing standards for their use, and optimization of their configuration on an ongoing basis.  The role is also responsible for managing relationships between technical components in the delivery of services within the configuration management system.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Specialist is accountable to provide subject matter expertise and administration of a specialized function. As a member of SaskPowers management team, this position is responsible to act as a central point of contact in the management and administration of strategic and operational functions, providing expert advice and direction that aligns with departmental and corporate goals and objectives.  

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration,  or other related equivalent AND/OR;
ITIL Certification(s) would be considered an asset AND/OR;
Five (5) years of related experience in IT infrastructure and applications
