Regina Youth For Christ is a mission organization dedicated to helping children and their communities, worldwide, reach their full potential by tackling the causes of isolation and hopelessness. We are currently seeking to fill out a Respite position in our Jeremiah House, Moose Jaw. The right candidate will be experienced and/or educated in working with youth or young adults in a supportive environment.

As a missions organization, Regina Youth For Christ requires all staff to be in agreement with their Statement of Faith and to continually fundraise to support the Ministry vision.
this position is responsible to provide a stabilizing presence to the house during the respite weekend night hours by being physically present in the house on Friday at 10:30 pm - Sunday 8:00 am.
You will be expected to be on call during the night for any and all youth-related issues and emergencies. You will document any issues that arise while on shift.

Be able to de-escalate situations oversee the expectations of the home
Communications: Daily conversations/updates with Manager and Youth Care Leaders
Be in the home regularly and routinely by 10:30 pm until 8:00 am the next morning to provide a stable home environment.
Complete all documentation, as required
Being committed to continued education

TIME REQUIRED: Every other weekend, Friday 10:30 pm - Sunday 8:00 am. Physically present in the home at night.

LENGTH OF COMMITMENT: Youth For Christ requires a one-year commitment. The contract, terms and agreements will be reviewed annually.  

Required Skills are Strong communication, both written and verbal; time management; organization; punctuality, actively involved in the local church.
