Position and Responsibilities
You will provide geo-environmental expertise in tailings, waste rock and water management to support our Saskatchewan mining and milling operations. The position will be based in Saskatoon with some travel to northern Saskatchewan based operations.
This role will include compiling and analysing data to support operational plans and performance assessment, writing technical documents, updating operational manuals, and performing site based monitoring and inspections.
This is a temporary opportunity for the remainder of 2019.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in geological, environmental or civil engineering
Two to five years of relevant work experience
Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
You must be eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
Assets:
Geo-environmental experience
Proven capability in writing reports and technical communications
Experience working in a mining or industrial environment
