General Farm Worker
General farm workers plant, cultivate and harvest crops, raise livestock and poultry and maintain and repair farm equipment and buildings. This group includes operators of farm machinery. General farm workers are employed on crop, livestock, fruit, vegetable and specialty farms.
Eligible NOC: 8431
Hours: 40 /week
Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in general farm work
Job Duties
- Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray and harvest crops.
- Operate, maintain, and repair farm machinery and equipment.
- Help maintain health of crops.
- Clean seed.
- Help manage grain inventories by monitoring, moving, blending etc.
