Description

Con-Tech General Contractors Ltd, is looking to add a Lead hand/Foreman to our growing company.  Con-Tech takes pride in promoting a team approach to ensuring that our projects are completed safely, on time, on budget and with exceptional quality.
Con-Tech is looking for an individual with experience in all aspects of the commercial building process, a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is required.  The successful candidate will show that they are a team player, can effectively lead employees, manage subcontractors and professionally interact with engineering consultants and building owners.  This position will work closely with our Site Supervisors, Project  Managers and will be integral in the planning and execution of each commercial construction project under their direction.
In order to be considered, your application should explain clearly how you meet the following but not limited to:
Possession of a valid Provincial or Inter-provincial Journeyman Certificate as a Carpenter.
    Experience in supervision and providing direction to workers, motivating and / or counselling when necessary, providing feedback and/or performance evaluations.
    Experience working on commercial and/or industrial construction sites.
    Experience in the use of computer systems and software.
(For example: Windows operating platform and Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word).
    Experience and proficiency in reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings, and construction specifications
    Experience in participation, maintenance, and compliance with construction site safety programs and occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
