Shipper/Receiver/Yard/Delivery Person
This position reports to the Production/Warehouse Supervisor
Duties and responsibilities are:
Complete paperwork required for shipping (waybills, etc.)
Arrange for suitable outbound carriers being sure to coordinate this effort with the Warehouse Supervisor
Arrange for transfer order shipments to other plants (AB and WP)
Assist with the monthly cycle and annual inventory count
Ensure that the warehouse/yard is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
Complete freight quotations upon request by the sales department, as well as freight costs needed for packing slips
Complete product returns accordingly
Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
Able to drive forklift
Able to lift 50 lbs
Verify that incoming goods have the required purchase order
Unload carriers checking for damage of goods
Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments against shipping papers and report any and all discrepancies immediately
Put received goods into the appropriate warehouse/yard location(s)
Shortages/overages at time of receiving: A copy of the packing slip is given to the appropriate Buyer. The Receiving Department will wait until the Buyer resolves the issue with the supplies before anything is done with the delivered materials
Pick and pack orders
Load shipments onto carriers
Return packing slips to order entry for invoicing
Assist customers with pick ups and inquiries, complete the proper paperwork
Perform weekly/random inventory counts
Local and short haul deliveries and pick ups
Ability to operate a 1 ton truck with trailer
Must have valid drivers license with clean abstract
All other duties assigned by Warehouse Supervisor
