The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. EGADZ has an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Full Time Drop In Supervisor interested in joining the team. EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services for hard to serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life.
Position Summary:
Ensures that each program area and philosophies are following the mission of the Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre and appropriately in accordance to the Employee and Volunteer Guidelines and agreed upon contracts with the Ministry of Social Services
Confers with, advises, teaches staff, youth and others to provide advice, problem solving assistance, answers to questions about program goals and policy interpretation; refers to appropriate management person when unable to respond
Prepares periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies
Proposal writing, management and evaluation of program outcomes
Reviews referrals or other program documents independently to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program
Interacts and maintains liaison with youth, staff and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives
Monitor program expenditures ensuring that budget allocations are on course.
Organize and participate in program meetings
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combination of both; Hands on real life experience with children and youth is an asset; Training in CPR and ASIST is an asset. Must have a valid drivers and willing to provide a Criminal Records Check (Within 6 Months)
