Description

The Regina Sexual Assault Centre is looking for an individual who is interested in gaining experience in facilitating workshops for primary and secondary victims of sexual and interpersonal violence. The position is responsible for researching workshop topics, developing and delivering one-hour sessions, and creating awareness about the workshops in the community. These are not therapy groups and workshops will provide objective information about mindfulness, grounding, community resources and the justice system. The position will also be responsible for assisting in providing telephone crisis counselling and interviewing new volunteers who wish to work on our crisis line. The position will be supervised by a senior social worker and offers new social work graduates an opportunity to gain experience in the counselling profession within an established, inclusive and professional-minded non-profit.
