The Saskatchewan Cancer Agency operates prevention and early detection programs, conducts innovative research and provides safe, patient and family-centred care at our two comprehensive cancer centres - the Allan Blair Cancer Centre in Regina and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. We also work closely with health regions and other partners in the delivery of cancer care and cancer services to the population of Saskatchewan.
As a member of the Population Health, Quality and Research Division management team, the Director of Early Detection is responsible and accountable for the development and leadership of provincial early detection programs for the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency. This includes the Screening Program for Breast Cancer, the Prevention Program for Cervical Cancer and the Screening Program for Colorectal Cancer as well as new program development for the province. The Director ensures accountability measures are established and outcomes of services and processes are measured. The Director is accountable to develop and maintain strong stakeholder partnership with leaders in the Saskatchewan Health Authority, Ministry of Health, and specialty groups such as First Nations and rural/remote communities.
