Harvest Meats is a leader in meat processing, with 90 years of innovation, dedication and quality. Our facility in Yorkton Saskatchewan produces all of the Harvest Meats products sold and distributed across Canada, which currently is about 150 different products including 50 types of sausage.
It has grown immensely over the years, to more than 250 employees who work at the 165,000 square foot plant. We have a wide variety of work schedules (including day, afternoon or evening shifts) and positions to fulfill our 24 hours a day, 7 days a week production and operational requirements.
We are currently looking to fill FULL-TIME SEASONAL and SUMMER STUDENT positions at the Yorkton facility in anticipation to Easter and summer production ramp-up. Production Workers can work in one or several of the below departments at Harvest Meats:
- Meat trimming and cutting (Cutting Room)
- Food preservation and flavoring (Curing)
- Meat thawing (Tempering)
- Product batching and stuffing (Kitchen)
- Meat smoking (Smokehouse)
- Packaging
- Evening facility and machinery cleaning (Sanitation)
Some of the skills and qualifications we look for in a Production Worker include:
- Able to work overtime and Saturdays as required
- Able to thrive in all types of work environments (colder food-safe temperatures with appropriate PPE, working on your feet and with your hands, continuously lifting and pushing up to 50 lbs)

- Remove filled containers from conveyors
- Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines or mobile tank trucks

- Feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers
- Clean Work Areas And Equipment
- Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
