Description

Reporting to the Service Manager, the detailer will be responsible for a variety of cleaning and maintaining duties.  They will both ensure a prioritized flow of equipment to be cleaned and be in charge of the washing and detailing of customer and dealer owned equipment.
Performance Expectations:
Work with the Service Manager and Shop Foreman (if applicable) in order to ensure that all equipment that is leaving the dealership exceeds customers expectations
Wash and clean all equipment internally and externally.  This includes the removal of all dirt, oil, and grease; vacuuming of the cab; washing interior; and cleaning all windows, floor mats, seats and upholstery
Detail all equipment as instructed by the sales or service department which may include touch up painting, polishing, waxing, or etc  
Report any additional work required on machines to the Service Manager or Foreman
Safely move equipment in and out of the wash bay
Work independently
Follow all safety rules and regulations
Participate in all applicable job-related training and development
Prepare and submit all required reports and forms in a timely manner.  Justify all time spent on the jobs in written report on work order  goal is 100% charge out.
Maintain assigned area and equipment in good working order, which includes cleaning up the wash bay daily; putting away all hoses, cords, tools, supplies; and cleaning the floor
Ask for and give assistance as required- work to maintain a strong team oriented environment
Ensure that all equipment leaving wash bay has all safety shields, manuals, and parts (note any that are missing)
Maintain friendly and positive relations with customers and fellow employees
Critical Capabilities:
Eye for detail
Self-motivated
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
Able to operate a wash wand and to climb up and down from equipment
