Bourgault Tillage Tools Ltd. (BTT) is a leading manufacturer of high quality North American made Seeding/Fertilizer Openers and Tillage tools. BTT is looking to expand into the Industrial Wear Products market with its' Max-Life Wear Coating. Max-Life is an extremely wear resistant coating, applied using a specialized welding process. We are developing our customer base and are looking for a highly motivated mechanical engineer/technologist with sales skills willing to work to assist us in expanding our MaxLife Sales.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual individual to fulfil a mechanical engineering/technologist sales position. The position will be all encompassing in regards to meeting with OEM engineering staff from an engineering and sales perspective, developing samples, testing and costing.
Duties
The position will require substantial travel throughout Western Canada and Northern United States.
The position will require hands on development of a customer base, i.e. OEMs, Dealers, End User Customers in agricultural and industrial sectors involving cold calling, attending trade shows as an exhibitor and/or a supplier, visiting OEMs, and End Users etc.
The position will work mostly independent but fully supported when required by a Sales & Engineering Team environment.
Skills/Abilities
Mechanical engineering skills required either an engineer or an engineering technologist.
Farming background preferred.
Manufacturing background beneficial.
Knowledge of welding or a welding background would be an asset.
Sales background not required but beneficial as long as good communication skills.
Knowledge of 3D drafting (Solid Works) would be preferred.
