Working as a Mechanic with PT means
- being a member of the maintenance team involved with coordinating and assisting with the completion of the Preventative Maintenance program for the production and mobile equipment;
- providing important feedback while assessing and diagnosing issues, providing recommendations and completing the approved work orders within the established timelines;
- your skills will be used to install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, as required;
- there is a solution for everything! You may be asked to install, troubleshoot, and maintain power transmissions, vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and maintenance welding;
- participate in moving or operating harvest equipment, as required;
- working safely every day, while keeping the safety of yourself and others at the forefront.
Is this role for YOU? Are you a person who
- is a journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician or a 3rd/4th year apprentice working towards obtaining the journeyman ticket (a combination of experience and a journeyman ticket in a similar trade may be considered);
- has a strong mechanical aptitude along with being both resourceful and adaptable;
- is familiar with and adaptable to working in various weather conditions;
- understands the concept of having the equipment ready to maximize efficiency and production;
- is a team player who places a high value on safety;
- is capable of working independently and can multitask within a fast-paced environment;
- is available for overtime shifts, as required.
