THE POSITION: Reporting to the Manager, Loss Prevention, this position is responsible to review and discuss collection activities with consumer, agricultural, and commercial Relationship Managers on loans in arrears and to manage and conduct resolution activities as well as initiate fraud management activities as necessary. This individual will ensure collection activities are in compliance with all legislation, regulations, policies and procedures. Responsibilities will include:
- Initiate contact with delinquent members to discuss repayment plans and financial situations
- Review, discuss, develop and implement realization strategies on delinquent loans
- Prepare court related documents as required and provide resource to legal counsel
- Aid in the collection of rent, maintenance, and sale of foreclosed property
- Provide expertise and act as a resource to lenders on collection activities
- Recognize member needs and promote and cross-sell credit union deposit services
- Provide assistance to Fraud Specialist as needed to initiate and conduct investigation of fraudulent activity
