Camp Monahan Mission Statement:
Camp Monahan, of the Archdiocese of Regina, provides a Christian camping experience for youth ages 615 with opportunities for social, physical, intellectual, creative, and spiritual growth.
Leadership:
Hiring and supervision of all staff (with input from the board)
Supervise and provide direct support for the day-to-day operations at the camp
Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all staff and campers at all times
Cultivate and coordinate a strong volunteer base
Collaborate with the Board of Directors:
Foster effective teamwork between the Board, Staff, and volunteers
Develop a vision and strategic plan for Camp Monahan
Maintain open lines of communication in regards to day-to-day Camp activities
Requirements:
Active faith in Jesus Christ, and an openness to sharing this faith with councillors, campers, and the public
Excellent organization skills
Needs exceptional interpersonal skills, and is able to relate to people of all age groups (councillors, campers, parents, and volunteers)
2-5 years experience managing a team
Be able to provide a clean vulnerable sector criminal record check
Be willing to live/be onsite during summer program weeks, can be discussed
Be willing to work from home during the offseason
Fundraising:
Research and apply for appropriate grants, Federal, Provincial, and other funding sources
Coordinate Camp Monahans fundraising events, this includes but is not limited to, the Christmas fundraiser, spring garage sale, and other events
Maintaining and updating the website and social media
Salary $30 000/year. 20 hours/week for 36 weeks (Sept. May) and 40 hrs./week for 16 weeks (May-Aug.). Want to hire ASAP for a 1-year contract, with a possibility of renewal.
