Facility: THERAPIES
Job Description: The Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist reports directly to the Children's Therapy Program Manager. This position provides clinical services and therapeutic interventions to young children and their families referred for services through the Children's Therapy Program. The Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist collaborates with the child, family and other Sunrise Health Region team members as well as with community service providers.

In addition, duties must also be performed in accordance with Sunrise Health Region mission statement and Therapy department statement of purpose, policies and procedures of the facility and department. This position is part of the Integrated Primary Health Services team.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Psychiatric Nursing. Eligible for registration in their respective association in the Province of Saskatchewan.
Experience
Experience working with pre-school aged children and their families
Previous experience in therapeutic or clinical work settings an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Time management skills
Critical thinking skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Proficient assessment, counseling, and case management skills.
Knowledge of early childhood development.
Demonstrated ability to provide clinical counseling for young children and families using a variety of treatment modalities; including but not limited to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Behaviour Management, Play Therapy etc.
