TCU Place is looking for a dynamic, energetic leader to join the team as a Sales Manager. TCU Place has an exciting team within a great and fun business. We provide the finest entertainment the world has to offer in our 2000 seat Sid Buckwold theatre and celebrate our city, province and countrys achievements along with business and association meetings in our convention and meeting areas. We are looking for someone with a certain spark that will have the ability to meet and exceed our customers expectations with providing outstanding service each and every time they come to an event in our building.
The Sales Manager is responsible to manage the sales team while also generating event and conference sales and coordinating ongoing self-generated events. This entails contacting all prominent clients and seeking out new business and sale opportunities in the areas of meeting, banquets, trade shows and conferences locally, nationally and internationally. Travel for this position is required for the qualified candidate.
Responsibilities
Initiates new sales amongst all markets and manages prominent sales accounts Creates sales presentations, packages, proposals and bids to generate new business.
Generates sponsorship opportunities, as required and assists with the development and distribution of promotional material
Represents TCU Place at meetings, trades shows and in other business activities as required. Travel is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a recognized, two-year, post-secondary diploma in business administration, marketing or other related program.
Three years progressively responsible experience in sales, preferably in the convention, hospitality or meeting industries, including two years demonstrated supervisory experience.
An equal combination of education and experience may be considered
Demonstrated skill in the use of a computer with Microsoft Office applications.
