We are currently recruiting for a Youth Care Worker Instructor who will work as part of a team dedicated to the success of students. Courses include, but are not limited to: Addictions, Behavior Supports in Youth Care, Crisis Prevention, Employability Skills, Family Systems, Health Promotion in Youth Care, Human Growth Development, Indigenous Awareness, Program Planning, Sociology, and Therapeutic Activities.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: classroom management; taking attendance and submitting on a regular basis; monitoring student progress and submitting reports on a regular basis; setting up and monitoring work placements; and other related duties as assigned.
The minimal qualifications for this positions are a four year degree in Special Education, Social Work, or Psychology; two years of recent and relevant work experience working with services for youth; effective interpersonal skills; effective communication skills; effective instructional ability; and demonstrates valuing diversity. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
This program is accredited through Sask Polytechnic, instructors must meet the requirements of the accrediting institution.
