Yardi Canada is looking for Java developers to join our team building an advanced commercial HVAC control and optimization system. Our software reduces energy consumption by up to 40% in large commercial buildings while improving comfort for people in it at the same time. We are looking for someone with 3 years of experience who can demonstrate competency in at least a few of:
Java, IntelliJ, J/Unit, Maven, JavaScript, SQL
N-tier application architecture
Web services (REST, JSON)
Test driven development and pair programming
Software design patterns and clean coding
Bonus marks for experience with:
SQL performance tuning
Data analysis and visualization
Experience with Big Data
As a software developer at Yardi Saskatoon, you are part of a collaborative, cross-functional team where you are challenged to learn and grow. You will be responsible for:
Designing, writing, testing, and refactoring software
Working with junior developers to help build their skills
Learning about commercial heating and ventilation systems and how to interface with the hardware and software that makes them tick
Collaborating directly with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and demo working software
Contributing to all parts of the application from the database to UI to deployment
Pushing your work live to production at regular intervals (every 1-2 weeks)
