Chip and Dale Homes Inc. is a Non-Profit Organization providing residential and day program services for adults with intellectual disabilities.
An RN team leader position is available caring for four adults with complex medical needs in a group home setting.
Duties Include:
provide medical care within the full scope of practice as it is outlined for Registered Nurses.
Offer direct nursing care for medically fragile adults
Offer direct nursing care for complex medical, nursing and intervention therapies due to disabilities and/chronic diseases
Provide a holistic approach of health and healing along with nursing care for medically fragile adults
Assist in physical assessments
Administer medications, gastric tube feeds
Monitor and administer tracheotomy care including suctioning
Administer urostomy care, colostomy care, catheter care, diabetic care and specialized diets
Monitor and manage nursing care plans
Advocate on behalf of the individual's health care needs
Responsible for development and training of procedures in the home.
Assist in policy development pertaining to resident's health care.
Team Leader duties Include:
Resident Care & Programming - recreation planning and implementation, meal preparation, etc.
Key Worker Responsibilities - attend meetings, schedule medical appointments, order supplies
Staff Training and Supervision - in house orientation, schedule staff, & reviews
Financial Duties - Petty Cash, purchases
Home Maintenance Duties - grocery shopping, cleaning,
Communication and Liaison with staff, families and outside Agencies
Hours of work would be Sunday -Thursday 6am-2pm
Qualifications:
RN
Current license with S.R.N.A. and in good standing
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience preferred
