Located in Prince, SK, RM of Meota, Farmer Brown's Honey is looking for an experienced Apiary Technician (National Occupation Code 8253) to help in overseeing the day to day field operations of a commercial beekeeping operation. This includes colony inspection and diagnosis of the health and welfare of the colonies. As well, all associated aspects of feeding bees, making splits, making queens, harvesting honey, and in general, maintaining hives and equipment are included in this job description.
Applicants with supervisory skills and experience will be given preference. 2 years plus of beekeeping experience is preferred.
This job is physically demanding, and sometimes repetitive. Applicants must be in good physical condition, willing to work as a team, and able to work around bees. No bee allergies.
Preference for English speakers with drivers license valid in Canada.
All wages are negotiable, based on experience. Weather dependent work hours. 44-56 hours a week, as required.(weekdays and Saturdays)
