We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Sciences Instructor who will work as part of a team dedicated to the success of students registered in our Environmental Sciences program and other Technical programs at our campus. The instructor will provide lecture, lab and field instruction to students; keep inventory of equipment; organize and supervise student field trips; and participate in course material development. Areas of instruction include, but are not limited to: Ecology and Field Biology, Field Botany and Plant Taxonomy, Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, Environmental Sustainability, Maps, Air photos, and GPS, GIS and Remote Sensing, and Scientific Writing and Computer Applications.
The minimal qualifications for this position are a Bachelor of Education Degree with a Professional A Teaching Certificate, a major in Biology is a definite asset. Also required are strong communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills. A thorough understanding of northern Saskatchewan Indigenous Culture is a definite asset. This program is accredited through Lakeland College, the instructor must meet the accrediting institutes requirements.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
