Description

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have BSW/BISW with significant experience in a social services organization and knowledge and commitment to the FSIN Child Welfare and Family Support Act and The Child and Family Service Act of Saskatchewan.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years Child and Family Services experience.  Must possess a Class 5 drivers license and submit a current Criminal Record Check, and proof of education.
- Must also include three (3) professional references.
- Must have a valid Sask. driver's license with no restrictions, and a dependable vehicle.
- Knowledge of Cree Language, culture and traditions would be an asset.
- Must be computer literate.
- Work in a Team environment, be dependable, professional, and responsible.
- Live an addictions free lifestyle.
- Possess superior interpersonal and case management skills.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to communicate ideas and solutions clearly and effectively.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Knowledgeable in addictions, domestic and family violence.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Awasisak Nikan Child and Family Services is seeking an experienced Protection Supervisor.  A highly motivated individual, who thrives in a dynamic work environment, who is well organized, prepared, goal-orientated, and team conscious in daily responsibilities.  Will have experience in various electronic information management systems.  Must exercise sound judgement within Policy parameters and work in an environment that requires strict confidentiality.  Will monitor all Protection Staff files for quality assurance through overseeing administration, procedural, and reporting systems attached to the Protection Services.  Will ensure that all services, statistic reports and registries are supported by the funding agencies guidelines and regulations regarding Children in care.  Be responsible in supporting all protection staff's timely service delivery while meeting the clients' needs.
