PURPOSE: Junior Project Manager is responsible for day to day coordination of activities, ensuring that project timelines and budgets are adhered to. This position will review financial reports on an ongoing basis and remain familiar with the project costs taking such steps as necessary to ensure that projects stay on time and on budget. This position will also attend and report on project costs and timeline at regular project team meetings.
General Responsibilities
Coordinate work, troubleshoot problems and provide input and support to the team to identify task and maintain deadlines.
Provide direct leadership, and guidance to all supervisors with the intent of creating a high performance team
Provide required administrative duties including work schedules, documentation, payroll timesheets, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, etc.
Act as a liaison and Olysky representative with both internal and external customers
Reporting on project metrics including but not limited to project timeline and project budget.
Work with project team to identify and continually improve project processes and team performance.
Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are brought forward in a timely manner, documented and approved.
Participate in and report on project milestones and weekly status reports, including project scoping and tendering.
Education/Experience Required
Previous project management experience and/or Project Management Profession certificate training preferred
Previous electrical experience/education preferred
Exceptional organizational and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
Previous construction experience is required or trade certificate
Able to read and analyze blueprints
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Effective time management skills, a good attitude and able to work part of a team
Familiar with preparing budgets is an asset
A valid Saskatchewan drivers license
