Description

Working as an Engineering Specialist, Facilities, you will provide technical and advanced engineering expertise and leadership of engineering service to safely support the operation, maintenance, enhancement and expansion of TransGas transmission, compression and storage facilities. This includes applying sound engineering and industry principles, standards, practices and technology; identification and recommendation of effective business solutions supporting departmental and corporate objectives, and leadership, mentoring and coaching of assigned staff and contractors.

Qualifications:
    Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Agricultural, Industrial or Petroleum discipline. Professional Engineer Designation qualified to practice in Saskatchewan.
    Ten plus years of progressive engineering experience related to transmission, compression and storage facilities in the oil and gas industry
    Demonstrated competency in process and process equipment that includes complex problem solving, project management, coaching and mentorship
    Strong working knowledge and understanding of natural gas industry practices and industry standards.
    Detailed knowledge of natural gas, rotating equipment, compression and gas dehydration is preferred.
    This job is subject to call-out situations.  
    Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.
    This job is safety sensitive, and as such, is subject to the provisions of the Drug and Alcohol Policy (Pre-Employment or Pre-Placement for Safety Sensitive Positions).
