Sun West School Division invites applications for a 1.0 F.T.E. Temporary Speech and Language Pathologist on the Student Services team, starting February 25, 2019 and ending March 17, 2020. This position is based out of Kenaston, SK. The successful applicant will be responsible to the Student Support Services Supervisor and will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide speech and language services to students in Sun West Schools.
Areas of responsibilities include:
Assessment of students' speech, language and communication skills.
Development of appropriate programs to assist students in acquiring communication skills.
Providing support for student support and classroom teachers, parents, and educational assistants in program delivery.
Provision of limited direct service to individuals, small groups, or whole classrooms as deemed appropriate.
Working with a team of Speech & Language Pathologists in providing in-service opportunities and professional development for staff.
The successful applicant will possess a Master's Degree in Speech & Language Pathology and be eligible for membership in the Saskatchewan Association of Speech & Language Pathologists & Audiologists. Preference will be given to applicants who meet the requirements for a Professional "B" Teacher's Certificate.
