Reporting to the Front Office Manager the ideal candidate will assist in leading the Reservation Team. This individual will be responsible for the following:
-ensure a smooth operation of the front office area and maintain guest satisfaction.
- Continually assist in developing and strengthening the Front Office .
-Review daily arrivals, identify VIPS, and assure smooth check-ins for all arrivals
- Handling guest concerns and assuring that their needs are exceeded
- Contact all our Groups clients and ensuring we are building rapport with our group clients.
- Participation in the budget forecast and yield management.
- Monitor groups bookings, follow group inventories, and identify needs of all groups
-Assisting in scheduling staff, and monitoring payroll
- Have knowledge of competition and local market and offer suggestions on how to improve room revenue and performance within that market.
- Work hand in hand with fellow support departments
- Monitor feedback from employees and guests and develop ways to improve service based upon this feedback
Job Requirements:
- Post secondary or Hotel management experience is an asset.
- Previous front office knowledge specifically in a supervisory role is an asset.
- Capable of working flexible shifts
- Experience with the Opera Property management system is beneficial.
- Ability to lead a group and strive towards goals
- Communication Skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to work under pressure and adapt to a constantly changing environment.
