Babich Farms is a large family run farming operation located at Pasqua, SK, just outside of Moose Jaw.
We are currently recruiting for a Seasonal Farm Worker.
Employment type: Seasonal, Full-time April 1 mid October
Work Location: Babich Farms NW 21 16 25 W2
Position Summary: Reporting to the Farm Foreman, the Seasonal Farm Worker will assist in the day-to-day operations of the farm.
Duties include:
Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, and harvest crops
Operate, maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment
Help maintain health of crops
Clean seed
Help manage grain inventories by monitoring, moving, blending, etc.
Maintain, repair and clean buildings
Maintain roads and farmyards (mowing, grading, trimming, spraying, plow snow, etc)
Provide data for digital maintenance and production records
General farm duties as assigned.
Requirements:
This position requires at least 2 - 4 years relevant hands-on experience including running a broad range of farm equipment.
Class 1 License is a requirement
Able to perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to carry out maintenance and repairs on farm equipment .
Successful candidate will be able to work successfully within a team environment as well as work independently.
Successful candidate is willing to work longer hours during seeding, spraying and harvest
