Description

The RM of Sherwood is currently seeking a Manager of Planning and Development. Responsibilities include:
Maintain communication with the public and managing relationships with stakeholders, municipal developers and Provincial Government partners.  
Process land development applications.
Implement policy initiatives, coordinating and preparing new land use and other plans.
Develop amendments to plans and bylaws as required.
Provide leadership to develop and retain staff.
Collaborate with engineers, architects and landscape architects on proposals and projects.
Project management.
Respond to requests from and provide up-to-date and accurate advice and reports to Council.

Requirements/qualifications for the position:
Undergraduate degree (or Masters degree) preferably from a CIP accredited university planning program or closely related field.
2+ years experience with project management.
3+ years experience in a supervisory/management role in the planning field.
Knowledge of existing Saskatchewan regulations, legislation, procedures and requirements related to the planning process.
Experience in a rural or urban municipality considered as asset.
Excellent communication skills.
Previous budgeting experience is as asset.
Must be able to manage multiple projects.
