Inclusion Saskatchewan is a provincial organization that provides support and consultation to individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. Inclusion SK is seeking a talented and motivated individual to fill the position of summer student to help us update our handbook for parents of children who have intellectual disabilities, Navigating the System. Reporting to the Director of Community Development, the Inclusion SK Research will
1.Work with our staff to identify and document current practices and the latest information of relevance to parents on such topics as early childhood intervention, respite, education, medical care and many other systems, and
2.Compile this research into updates for the 4th Edition of Navigating the System.
3.Provide administrative support as is required, which will help the student to learn about the programs of Inclusion SK.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work within a diverse and dynamic office environment. We are seeking a senior level undergraduate student with excellent verbal and writing skills, and research experience. Knowledge of and concern for issues relating to intellectual disabilities is considered an asset.
