Work collegially with teachers/administration/professional colleagues to provide schoollevel student support.
Support FNMI students and their families in attendance, academics, and all related areas
on the path to graduation, as per the Division Multi Year Strategic Plan, and the
provincial Education Sector Strategic Plan.
Focus on successful transitions for students: Pre-Kindergarten to Kindergarten,
Kindergarten to grade one, grade eight to high school.
Support the learning program by identifying the social and emotional needs of students/
families (i.e. parent education and family literacy).
Promote partnerships with human service agencies to respond to student/family needs.
Provide assistance to students/families as well as referrals to outside agencies.
Follow crisis intervention protocol regarding child abuse, tragic events and inter-agency
involvement.
Perform duties as assigned as part of the schools Student Support Team.
Assist in the organization and development of a Catholic School Community Council.
Attend staff meetings.
Be involved as a member of school-based teams.
Participate in Division-sponsored professional development activities.
