Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils (SRC) Mining and Minerals Division has immediate openings for Lab Assistants. Our Geoanalytical Laboratories work closely with mining companies in the gold, base metals, uranium and diamond sectors. We are looking for full-time entry level staff for our sample preparation area.
Accountabilities
Perform rock/ mineral sample preparation as part of a larger team process to conduct laboratory analysis for our mining and minerals clients
Skills
Good work ethic and must be reliable
Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment
No experience required. All necessary training will be provided.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
The use of safety equipment (hearing, foot protection, lab coats, dust masks, and safety glasses) is required and will be provided
Some heavy lifting (up to 30 kg) and working in a dusty environment will be required
Hours of work: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am 4:30 pm (paid overtime may be available)
