Description

We are seeking a motivated, creative individual to lead our fund development activities to support the growth of our organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing a comprehensive annual fund development plan with strategies and targets for donors and prospects
Develop AITC-SKs prospect pipeline and assist the Executive Director in identifying, discovering, cultivating, soliciting, on-boarding and stewarding prospects/donors
Develop funding proposals for charitable foundations, corporate charitable funds, community investment, and other similar funds
Support the dev. and maint. of our prospecting collateral (pitch decks, one-pager program summaries; etc.) to ensure all documents are compelling, consistent with brand guidelines
Provide guidance and support for organizational communications strategy and implementation
Implement funder engagement, acknowledgement and recognition activities and measures
Work closely with the Executive Director and Communications Coordinator to ensure our partners have a fantastic giving experience and all funding deliverables are met
Keep up-to-date on current fundraising programs
Create and maintain tools to monitor and evaluate all fund development activities
Develop, implement and sustain internal policies and procedures for gift acceptance and processing
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Business, Communications, Non-Profit Fundraising, or another related field
Experience managing grants, sponsorships, planned giving or corporate community investment programs
Excellent, editing and presentation skills
Strong understanding of private philanthropy as it relates to charitable organizations
Proven stakeholder management and relationship building skills
Excellent organization and time-management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
CFRE certification is an asset
Interested in agriculture and food
Strong network connections considered an asset
