We are looking for individuals who are interested in working with children as Camp Leaders in our Summer Day Camp program.
Camp leaders will strive to make the camp experience fun, interesting and safe by:
supervising all camp activities, developing recreational plans and organizing outdoor excursions, guiding children in art projects, music, games, science experiments, and sports, providing emotional support, explaining expectations for campers behaviour, and assisting campers with conflict resolution.
Camp leaders will be expected to oversee all day-to-day activities: parent sign-in/sign-out, set-up/clean-up of activities, as well as assisting campers with their lunches and looking after their personal belongings/needs (sunscreen, hydration, etc.).
This job is open to all returning post-secondary or high-school students* who are legally entitled to work in Canada. Applicants must be of a good moral character, be empathetic, enthusiastic, and patient, have a high level of maturity, and possess excellent leadership skills.
Priority will be given to applicants who identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit.
*student is defined as an individual attending school on a full-time basis and returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic semester.
