Job Description: Under the direction of a designated departmental Manager, the Supervisor supports program administration and provides technical consultation within the assigned department.   This includes providing direct leadership, supervision, administration and coordination of public health services nursing staff who deliver a wide variety of programs to the residents primarily in rural areas of the Saskatoon Health Region.  This position is responsible for assuming a leadership role in program development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and will be responsible to assist in ensuring that programs are delivered in an effective and efficient manner.  This position is responsible for providing visible onsite rural leadership, including staff supervision, harmonization of policies and procedures between urban and rural Saskatoon Health Region and will support Saskatchewan primary health redesign by reviewing the present situation of rural primary health teams.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
Five (5) years public health nursing experience required.  
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially

Geographic Location: Located approximately 120 kms outside of Saskatoon
Expected Start Date: May 13, 2019
Expected Up To Date: November 30, 2020
