Westeel has an immediate opening for a production Welder to join our dedicated and supportive team.
A leading supplier of the highest quality fuel storage products, Westeel Tisdale provides a safe, reliable and fast-paced work environment. This is a permanent, full-time position which requires:
Prior experience in welding and job knowledge
Proven ability to work safely
The ability to become CWB certified in Flux core, hard wire, and submerged arc in the flat position
Able to read, understand and follow welding symbols and instruction
Tank fabrication
Demonstrates ability to mount accessories including catwalks, piping, cabinets, etc.
Effective oral and written communication
Exemplary attendance record
Welding Techniques/Processes
- Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) (MIG)
Transportation/Travel Information
- Own transportation
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Canadian Welding Bureau Certification
Additional Skills
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
